Learning Plans
Learning Plans are used to establish broad learning and career goals for the
whole 14-19 phase, including identifying wider development activities that the
young person might participate in. This provides the basis for continued
monitoring and review of progress during the 14-19 phase.
Fast Tomato's Learning Plan section contains:
-
My Learning Plan
This section can form the basis of an annual or periodic learning plan for
review with a tutor. It includes a Personal Statement, a record of achievements
and expectations and a summary of Fast Tomato Personal List items (careers,
courses and places the student is interested in). It also ties in to the target
setting tool described below.
-
My Targets
This section provides structured approach to target setting and allows for the
ongoing review of these targets. Students give general details on what they
want to achieve and then break this target into several action points. They can
set dates for start, completion and review for all targets and action points.
Students can later review their target by reflecting on what has been achieved
and what further steps (if any) are required. A summary report can be generated
and tailored to display specific targets (e.g. to produce a Work Experience
report).
