The system has been designed to work satisfactorily over a standard dial-up connection; the speed is acceptable because the server carries out all the processing. However, if a number of computers are sharing a connection, broadband is essential. For satisfactory performance a bandwidth equivalent to 56 Kb/s per terminal is recommended.

Fast Tomato has been designed to be compatible with Internet Explorer 6 (and above), Firefox 2.0 (and above) and other similar internet browsers.

We believe that Fast Tomato is one of the most mathematically intensive sites to be hosted on the public internet. For this reason it is running on it's own powerful, dedicated server. This has the added benefit of ensuring a high level of security.
