Customising Fast Tomato for your Organisation - Managing your Account

You can customise Fast Tomato for your particular organisation so that your students get the most out of the site. This free service allows you to edit form listings, manage the subjects displayed on the Options pages and create new Adviser accounts.

This is done online through a special "admin" login that is provided, at no extra cost, when the organisation subscribes to Fast Tomato. If you have already subscribed to Fast Tomato, but do not have your "admin" login details, please contact the Fast Tomato Team on 01442 867300 or support@fasttomato.com

Management Guide
For step-by-step instructions on using the customisation features, read the Management Guide

Forms/Groups

The simple interface lets you create and edit forms (or other groups) within your organisation. When students first visit Fast Tomato, they are shown a list of forms/groups and can place themselves into the appropriate one. This gives the student access to assigned advisers and allows advisers to find them more easily (see below).

Adviser Accounts

You can create and edit accounts for advisers at your organisation through this section. An adviser account allows an adviser or teacher to monitor students by viewing their Fast Tomato results. For further information, see advanced features.

An adviser can either have access to all students in the organisation (global access) or restricted access to one or more forms/groups (e.g. form tutors only need to see the students in their form).

Options at Key Stages 4 and 5

Fast Tomato can be tailored to display the subjects on offer at your organisation at Key Stages 4 and 5.

The management section guides you through the process, starting with selecting the subjects you offer from our extensive course bank. You can then specify the groupings (e.g. for timetabling) and add tailored instructions to help your students make their decisions.
